Your kids make me smile. When you bring your child to my office, I will do my best to put them at ease while diagnosing and treating their various skin conditions. When required, I perform skin surgery and have made it a point to fine-tune my surgical skills and take care to leave no scars or only the most cosmetically appealing scars. From diagnosing lumps, bumps, and rashes to removing warts and birthmarks, I am comfortable treating your children.
I obtained my medical degree at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2006. My dermatology training was completed with Greg Messenger MD after completing my pediatric training at Sparrow Hospital and MSU. I am board certified in pediatrics, a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and make it a point to stay up to date with current medical literature. Practicing pediatric dermatology at Dr. Messenger’s office since 2009 has been a very rewarding career choice. I stay busy teaching pediatric and family practice residents through Michigan State, and lecturing to physicians all across the state. I have been coordinating and teaching the spring dermatology course at Michigan State’s Osteopathic Medical School since 2018. I am proud to say that I was awarded the “Golden Apple” teaching award in 2021, 2022, and 2025. I took on a new challenge for 2026; I started volunteering at Care Free Medical Clinic.
On a personal note, I’m married with three daughters. My tech-savvy husband set up this website, and my outspoken daughters still humor me with card games and board games- lucky me! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hunting for petoskey stones and four-leaf clovers, swimming, reading, and photography.
